Paul J. Raiman was born in 1954 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He earned his undergraduate degree in Biology from Kalamazoo College, Kalamazoo, Michigan. He received his MD degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 1980. Dr. Raiman completed his general surgery residency at Blodgett Hospital, Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1985. In 1988 Dr. Raiman completed his fellowship for Colon Rectal Surgery at the Ferguson Clinic in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Dr. Raiman joined Northeast Indiana Colon Rectal Surgeons, PC in 1988.

Dr. Raiman is certified by the American Board of Colon Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.

He holds membership with the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American Medical Association, Fort Wayne Medical Society, and Indiana State Medical Association.
