Virendra A. Parikh was born in 1957 in Jamnagar, India. He earned his undergraduate degree from D.K.V. Arts of Science College in Jamnagar, India. He received his MD degree from M.P. Shah Medical College in 1981. He then completed his general surgery residency in India and obtained board certification in general surgery.

Dr Parikh came to the United States in 1987 and completed his general surgery residency at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center, Bronx, New York in 1993. In 1994 Dr. Parikh completed his fellowship for Colon Rectal Surgery at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Parikh joined Northeast Indiana Colon Rectal Surgeons, PC in 1994.

Dr. Parikh is certified by the American Board of Colon Rectal Surgery and the American Board of Surgery.

He holds membership with the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, American Medical Association, Fort Wayne Medical Society, and Indiana State Medical Association.
