Dr. Hisham S. Elhassan, MD was born in 1972 in Khartoum, Sudan. He earned his MD degree from the University of Gezira in 1996.

He completed his general surgery residency at Huron Hospital/Cleveland Clinic Hospital in 2006 in Cleveland, OH. In June 2007, he completed his fellowship for Colon Rectal Surgery at Lehigh Valley Hospital/Penn State College of Medicine.

Dr. Elhassan joined Northeast Indiana Colon Rectal Surgeons, PC in 2007.

He holds memberships with the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, American College of Surgeons, Fort Wayne Medical Society, Indiana State Medical Association and the Society of American Gastroenterology and Endoscopy Surgeons.

Dr Elhassan is certified by the American Board of Colon Rectal Surgeons and the American Board of Surgery.
